Bruges day trip from Amsterdam

Bruges is roughly three hours' drive from Amsterdam, Antwerp under two and Brussels about two and a half. A private day trip lets you pick one or two of them and travel in a quiet Mercedes instead of changing trains. Expect a long day of ten to twelve hours.

Three day trips that work

10–12 hours

Bruges

The canals, the Markt and the Belfry, the beguinage and an afternoon on the water. Most guests choose Bruges alone.

12 hours

Bruges and Ghent

Two medieval cities in one day: Ghent's Graslei and castle, then Bruges in the afternoon light.

11–12 hours

Antwerp and Brussels

The cathedral and the diamond district in Antwerp, the Grand Place and the Atomium in Brussels.

How it works

Your chauffeur drives, you visit

We pick you up at your hotel in the morning. On arrival the chauffeur drops you in the centre, agrees a meeting point and time, and picks you up again for the next stop or the drive home.

Want to stay overnight in Belgium and continue to Paris or the coast? We quote that as a two-day trip.

Prices

A fixed day price per vehicle

Day trips to Belgium are quoted per vehicle: distance, hours and vehicle determine the price. For reference, a one-way transfer from Amsterdam to Bruges in an E-Class costs €622.39, to Brussels €578.79.

Send your date and the cities you would like to see and we reply with a fixed price, usually the same day.

Belgium day trip questions

Is a day trip to Bruges too long?

It is a long day, about six hours in the car in total. If that is too much, Antwerp is the closest Belgian city, or stay overnight.

Do we need passports?

Belgium and the Netherlands are both in the Schengen area, so there is no border control. Always carry a valid ID or passport.

Can you drop us in Brussels instead of driving back?

Yes. A one-way transfer to Brussels, Antwerp or Bruges is a fixed price in the booking form.
