Private city tour of Amsterdam

See more of Amsterdam than the canal belt in one afternoon: the old centre, the Jordaan, the Amstel, the Eastern Docklands and the view from Amsterdam Noord. A private city tour starts at three hours, €245.25 in an E-Class including VAT.

A route that works

An example of three hours

  • The canal ring and the Jordaan, with a short walk along the Prinsengracht
  • The Magere Brug and the Amstel
  • The Eastern Docklands and the modern architecture on the IJ
  • Through the IJ tunnel to Amsterdam Noord, for the view back across the water
  • Back to your hotel, or a drop-off at a restaurant
Good to know

What a car tour can and cannot do

Much of the historic centre is narrow and partly car-free. Your chauffeur knows where the car can stop and drops you for short walks at the most beautiful spots. This is a chauffeur service, not a guided tour; if you want a licensed guide on board, ask us and we suggest one.

City tour questions

How long should a city tour be?

Three hours gives a good overview. With a museum visit or lunch, book four to five.

Is it suitable on a rainy day?

Yes, that is when a car tour is at its best. The route adapts to the weather.

Can we start at the cruise terminal?

Yes. We pick up at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and can end at your hotel or at Schiphol.

Amsterdam in one afternoon, at your own pace.
